Leigh Thompson
Leigh Thompson is a member of the editorial boards of Organization Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, International Journal of Conflict Management, and Group Decision and Negotiation. She has served on the selection panel of the Decision, Risk, and Management Program at the National Science Foundation and its program review committee. She is a member of several professional associations, including the Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, American Psychological Society, Judgment and Decision Making Society, and Society for Experimental Social Psychologists.
Professor Thompson is the author or co-author of more than 35 research articles and chapters in edited books. Her book "The Mind and Heart of the Negotiator" integrates negotiation and group decision making with social psychological processes.
Leigh Thompson offers consulting and training in negotiations, decision making, and team building for numerous public and private sector groups, including the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, Colliers, Bennett & Kahnweiler Realty, Akzo-Nobel Corporation, Manufacturer-Retailer Council, Cargill, the Attorney General of Illinois and Washington State, Washington State trial lawyers, several pharmaceutical companies, and managed care groups. She has presented her work both nationally and abroad.
